I decided to write this book for so many different reasons. I’m trying to reach and target the age group 15 to 30 because there are many teenage girls that struggle with self esteem, and peer pressure to have sex, which leads to young parenthood. I want to offer them guidance and the resources they need to make better choices. You have young adult women who are trying to find themselves and sometimes, like myself, get caught up in this superficial world that says you need to look like this or drive this car. Then they’re willing to do whatever it takes to stay in that world, which always leads to a dead end. Through my trials and triumphs, I want to show them the way out.
